The 'storm of the Century'

We're getting ready to don the water wings and inflate lilos! Overnight the Jerrara Creek (to the back and side of the house) has overrun its banks, with water inundating the paddock on the western side of the house and continuing to rise...our woodland walk is now more water feature, although water continues to flow at pace through the two culverts under Jamberoo Road...and our well is now overflowing - so the water table is officially at ground level!

Fortunately the house has never flooded in its 157 year history (nor did it this time), and we've certainly come through what is being billed as New South Wales' 'storm of the century' in far better shape than many!
